Whether it is a cavity that needs a filling or a tooth that needs a crown, we offer a variety of esthetic, tooth colored restorative options. We offer zirconia and eMax crowns that combine great strength while preventing that metal collar that can show over time with gum recession. In addition, for those looking to potentially straighten that one tooth that has always bothered them or achieve that perfect smile, dental veneers are a great option.
In addition to daily brushing and flossing, annual visits to the dentist for cleanings are important to remove any residual plaque and to assess the state of both the teeth and the gums. In some cases where there is a lot of plaque below the gum line, a deep cleaning may be needed. Plaque that builds up below the gumline can lead to periodontal disease where such concerns as bone loss or inflammation of the gums may occur. A deep cleaning will remove such buildup, help reduce inflammation and help lead to a healthier mouth.
Both fixed partial dentures (bridges) and dental implants are viable treatment options to replace a missing tooth. With bridges, a portion of the two adjacent teeth are shaved with a multi-unit fixed prosthesis fabricated to replace the missing tooth. With dental implants, a portion is placed in the bone with a resulting crown that restores the tooth in the mouth. In our office, we fabricate bridges and restore dental implants.
A root canal is needed when a cavity reaches the nerve of the tooth. The nerve is removed and cleaned, followed by a full coverage restoration that will protect the tooth.
Complete dentures are useful when a person is missing all their teeth in an arch. In some cases, dental implants can be used with complete dentures to gain more stability.
Removable partial dentures are a viable treatment option when someone is missing several teeth in one arch and want to restore multiple teeth at once.
